How much hp is the spyder pushing

Alright fellas my girlfriend just bought a 2g eclipse spyder and i know it has the bigger engine but how much horsepower is it actually pushing out? Also would i have to get her a ram air intake with the extension piece to make it cold air or do they make a cold air intake for the spyders. Thanks

I believe the 2g n/t Spyders have 141hp... The engine is the 4g64 2.4L which is bigger than the 420A, but it's also a SOHC. Might want to check this site out here.. http://4g64.150m.com/ Lots of 4g64 info

They don't make intakes specifically for Spyder N/Ts...but a GST/GSX intake on eBay will fit perfectly. It consists of a MAS adapter and k&n type cone filter...should be able to pick one up for about $30. Do a search for "eclipse turbo intake" on eBay motors. This replaces your stock air box...to make it a "cold air intake" you would have to add some pvc or piping and just extend the cone filter down closer to the ground. This is how I did mine, until it ripped off when I hit a pot-hole. Now I just have it regular again, with the cone filter up high...and to tell you the truth, I don't even feel a difference.
