Stock internals

Ok guys i have found some stock internals for sale on another forum from a 420A motor, the guy is selling the Rods and Pistons for 30$ i am unsure of the milage but i am guessing pretty low the guy bought all new internals and has no use for the stock ones any more.

My question is, should i buy these, i blew my motor first of all and need these part to help in rebuild. I am going to turbo the motor as well, so i am wondering if i buy lower compression pistons and put in instead ofd the stock ones but stick with the stock pistons and re-ring them. I want to know if i will have a better power output if i put in new pistons like 8.5-1 comp or whatever low comp pistions are out there. I know the stock internals will handle a turbo so i figure if i am going to do this might as well do it right from the start.

Well if you plan on putting a turbo on your car then I strongly recommend that you beef up the internals. I mean hell your car already blew the motor. Put forged internals in. Go with 8.6:1 compression pistons and NEW rings and rods. You will thank yourself and your car will thank you also.

Do it and do it right while you have the reason to do it!

i was actually going in that direction...buying all new stuff, but then this came up so i figured i would ask on here and see if it was worth it. I was looking at buying the ricekiller block from Faster than you performance, is that place good to buy from? and is it worth it. To me it seems like a good deal, the block is resfurfaced and honed, blueprinted and assembled, align bored etc. i am sure you know that. So i think thats which way i am going to take. thanks for the input i appreciate your help

Yeah I have heard nothing but good things about the FTY motors. I say go for a setup from them. Good luck!
