Just curious what you guys think of the dodge stealths. I just recently purchased one extremely cheap because it needs a transmission and dont know if i want to sell it or keep and it and have 2 cars. i dont know much about them but it is a r/t model with a manual transmission and is not a twin turbo. any advise would be appreciated.

NEVER EVER let the timing belt wear out. It cost me a fortune when my wifes belt broke on hers 3 years ago. Also the Crank pullies will seperate and come off when they get old cause of the crappy rubber design in the middle. Parts are rediculously expensive. Aftermarket parts are hard to find. I would never own another one again. I would prefer your 2g over it anyday.

thanks for the info. still not sure if i wanna keep it or not. i am sure i can fix it and make a few bucks off of it.

Stealths/3000GT's are good cars. They are quick stock... I'd take one over a DSM any day, unfortunately the only one around here for sale and with a manual transmission was owned by an Indian and had no title and hadn't had one for a couple years and his tribe was based in a different state so it was just too complicated and it didn't fall through. I'd keep it if I were you....

I thought the R/T's were the twin turbo model:confused:

R/T = SL 222HP if I'm right. The Base Models had 100 something. I have no idea what the TT Stealth is called, I know the 3KGT is VR4, dunno tho.

I say keep it, they are good looking cars, even if you don't want to make it fast you can make it look good.
