i have 97 RS.. and im interested in changing my Throttle body to a better one (preformance) where can i get one and what is a good one?

Woah woah woah... Don't be confussing this guy with shitty parts now! First off THE JEEP 60mm TB does not work! metal jim is some sort of a GOD to get it to. There are MASSIVE spring problems with the jeep tb, and its essentually NEAR impossible to get it to work.

has a 60mm BRAND NEW, no send in ur pos tb for 280.00. This 60mm is brand new, silver, at 60mm sent to u for 220.00 Direct bolt up to stock intake manifold.

The Jeep throttle body is not as bad as you make it sound. There are LOTS of things you need to do right, the first time, to keep from having lots of problems that will require a complete dismantling of it all over again. But if you take your time, research what these problems are and the fixes, and aren't afraid of a little work this mod has the potential to be well worth the money.

I've made four of them myself. The spring issue is by far the toughest obstacle because of the spring rate needed to shut the plate and getting nice smooth action is also key. For the average person with limited tools and intelligence you're better off buying one from someone else who already pieced it together. Or consider a company that makes larger throttle bodies if you don't trust the seller.

Keep in mind though that the stock upper intake manifold opening is 52mm which means a 4mm lip all the way around the circumference of the throttle body. Turbulence=bad. You may want to consider having it ported to match the new throttle body of your choice.

p.s. I'm not making anymore at this time nor have any plans to make any in the near future, please don't ask.

But remember, that if you then port the Intake manifold to 60mm, you now have a lip at the intake ports on the head, which will then cause turbulence. Then you have to port the head. It never ends:D
