Power steering belt?

My friend told me if i cut my power steering belt off i would gain alot more horsepower ..... i was wonderin if its true and if its worth not havin the power steering..... thanks

i would not do that, have you ever driven a car without power steering ? hope you like popeyes forarm's as that is what your's will look like

i have had my p/s off for about 2-3 years now, no problems, it was a little tough getting used to it, but it maybe gained or freed up some hp, but mainly the control, you have precise control over the car, as much as you turn thats how much the car turns. I wouldn't give it up for anything, remove it and get used to it, its tough but gets easier, i just removed the whole system.
