car wont start

hey guys i was wondering if anyone can help me out asap

i was driving my car and all of a sudden my battery light went on... so i was like ahh great eiether my belt came off my alternator or my battery is shot..... so w\e got it home... boom shuts off.... went to jump start it.... with another car i have... the eclipse would not start?... im like what the hell could be the problem... it cranks but wont go.... i put the key in start up the car the belt and shit cranks but it wont start.? i checked all the wires they seem fine... can anyone help me please i need my car for work tommorow its reallly import.. thank you

Are you a 5 spd? If so, you can push start the car if need be. All I can tell you is that if your alternator goes while you're dirving, you will just drain the battery and die. If your battery goes, you will get a battery light and have a hell of a time getting her started again. Usually though, if the battery is shot, you won't get the starter cranking.

First bet = pull battery and take to AutoZone for testing. If batteryis good, you've narrowed your trouble elsewhere.

If you're a MT, try push starting the car. If it will start and run, then it's likely your starter. If it dies again, I'd say alternator.

its not the battery or altenator im pretty sure it has to do something with the gas...or air... because so much gas is comin out the exhaust when i start it?... it has to be something eclectrical... i just got back from work so ill be in my garage tryin to see what is wrong with it... ill get back to you ... thanx anyways man

kk can anyboyd please help me?.... i cranked it again by jumpstarting the car with another 1 running... and im not able to start up the car?
i took the sparkplug out and my friend started up the car and gas is spittin so that means atleast gas is gettin to the spark plugs... we have no clu.... could it be a sensor of some sort or a fuse?

i'd get the alternator checked, that was the problem for me when my car didn't start.

sounds like the car is getting Electric power, gas, but no spark. Check all plugs, the coil pack, wiring of the coil pack, the ECU and the ECU fuse.

I pulled my ecu fuse one day, my car did the exact same thing yours is doing.

my uncle is my mechanic and he said everything is good and i blew a fuse in the fuse box for engine its a 30a... we replaced that ... still wont start ... so now it must be the ecu is gone

umm i dunno about the battery light and stuff, but get your battery checked and make sure its not that. but it sounds almost the same as what happened to my NT. the fuel pump died on me, when u crank it, do it for a second of 2 and stop and listen for the slight fuel pump noise coming from behind you... if you dont hear anything its dead. try smacking the bottom of your gastank with a mallet a little bit i was able to drive around on my dieing fuel pump for a week by hitting the gas tank a couple times before i tried to start the car

my gas is getting to the spark plugs tho so i dont think it can be the fuel pump
