If a guy put on a new head gasket a couple thousand miles ago , should he go through the pain and suffering of retorqueing?

How about if he is noting some sudden oil leaking from the head and he is seeing a little oil in the antifreeze? should he retorque or pull it off and mill it again for fear of warpage?

Or should I have someone take a large rock and beat me about the face and neck?

The large rock would be the only productive step you listed.

These heads do not require re-torqueing. I've never had a problem with the torque sequence or sealing properties of the new MLS headgasket. If you still have oil/coolant leakage problem I would suspect a cracked head, block, headgasket residue left on either, warped head or block, or a bad choice in headgaskets i.e. if you didn't use a mopar MLS hasket.

It was the MLS , the head was milled to true it up. Followed torque sequence and specs exactly as specified in the instructions that accompanied the new gasket.

Cracked huh? any particular "weak spots" to check?

By the way Doug , that guy is going to sell me that polished upper intake that matches the 60m TB I came across. Maybe I can change that out while I have it torn down again.

If that head comes off again , im seriously thinking pistons and rods while its open.

Did you have the coolant system completely back flushed after the repair? Oil will hide in those coolant passages for a while if the two mixed orignally. Where is the oil leaking from? Did you shave down that driver side back corner bolt? Are you getting any overheating or anything? If your head was cracked it would show in other ways. I really need to know about the oil leaking before I can give further advice.

Leaking exactly were all the 95-97's do , right where it did with the old head gasket that had a hole worn in it right by that oil passage nearest the drivers side back corner of the block. So its coming down onto the exhaust burning and stinking and spattering my pretty concrete driveway.

Shorten the bolt? I did mill the head a bit when I had it done , but it wasnt all that much. Just enough to get it flat.

Coolant: I flushed the radiator and the resovoir , but not
