Exhaust setups?

I just got back my Laser and the exhaust set up that i am running sucks a$$. It is a 4-1 header, 2-1/2" pipe back to a free flow muffler. It has no bottom end. I am wondering if i put in a cat if it will take care of the back pressure problem that i have, or if i should add somthing else.

Go for a 4-2-1 header versus the 4-1 header, 4-2-1 headers are more of a torque bottome end header and the 4-1 header is a horsepower high end header.

mdre21 is right about that one, but 4-1 is still not bad, but only for top end power. you may want to look into a cat before replacing the whole set up

meaning that there is no cat on it now, if not maybe go high flow cat or a glass pack or resonator to add a little resistance. Thats what i did.
