the new apex'i safc II has a setting for a knock sensor, and my friend said it would be a good idea to get a knock sensor on my car, so for one how would i do this, and two is it needed? (is it a good idea?)

The 95 2gnt already has a knock sensor on it. It's located just above the oil pan on the back side of the block. It's about 4inches, towards the driver's side, of the oil filter. I'm not sure if the newer year models have these or not but the location should remain the same.

I've often wondered about this myself but the difference between the DSMLink knock count versus Chrysler's manor of monitoring knock make it difficult to compare the two and tune accordingly. Using the DSMLink they equate excessive knock to be a high number and acceptable knock to be low (0-5 count). Chrylser monitors knock using a voltage signal. I'm sure both sensors operate the same (create a voltage) it's just the interpretation of the signal that keeps me wondering.

well i also herd that the safc II's knock sensor option will not work with a 4g63 motor, the more info on this the better, i would hate to knock a set of JE pistons

Call apexi and ask their tech guys if it's compatabile. I don't know of anyone who runs the knock sensor to the SAFC but I from what I know the knock sensor on the 420a is basicly useless for aftermarket applications.
