Need Turbo

Im looking into buying a 16G turbo kit for a non turbo 94' eclipse. what would be the cheapest one to buy?

I'm not too sure anyone makes a turbokit for a 1G NT eclipse or talon. If they do, please let me know where I can find it so that I know for future questions. Thanks!

Isnt there a universal turbo i could buy for it and im sure i could buy some intercooler pipes and everything for it from somewhere, couldnt i? or what if i pull a stock turbo from a eclipse gsx?

Yeah, any turbo will work for your car. I thought you were talking a pre-made kit you just buy....as far as I know there are none except for the 2G NT's, but if you're making a custom kit, then yes it's possible. Any turbo will work, you just need to custom make all the parts and that could get pricey.

yeah i think i decided to pass on the turbo and go all motor first then add a 60 hp NEX set up. but could i do that on an engine that has 177,000 miles it has new heads, new hoses, belts, radiator, and runs like brand new, do you think it would be safe?

You can run the nitrous, but I'm not too sure how long all your rods, rings, pistons, etc will hold up. You can always try it, your motor may handle it pretty well and it may not, I'm not sure.

can you buy all the turbo parts individualy and put them on? wouldn't this be cheaper than starting with a turbo because you could put on performance turbo parts and not have to pay extra when you buy the car? the 1g turbo and nt 2.0 have the same block, so it works in theory, but has anyone done this before?

another route you may look into is to purchase a JDM engine...they include the turbo but lack some other parts..they run about $1800 or so...but the down side is that you don't know the history of the engine or how hard it was run by it's previous owner(s)...
