when ever i first start up my car and start to drive i have a bad winding sound, but i definetly know is from the belts. whats happening is the belts are breaking whenever i go above 4500 rpm's and below that they are being stripped. does anyone know what could be causing this??

You may have a failed harmonic balancer (crankshaft damper). It's the pulley on the crank- it has a rubber section between the rim and hub. To confirm it, put a chalk mark that runs from the rim onto the hub, and see if, after you've heard the noise, they've moved from one another.

try removing and cursing at the a/c. I tossed mine and got a dramatic hp increase!!!!not to mention about 25 lbs lighter:thumb:
