Im looking into changing my stock muffler for an aftermarket one on my laser. I've heard good things bout the Magnaflow one(not ricy sound, got good throaty sound) Anyone know ones that aint ricy like civic and got a throaty bass sound.LMK what u guys have:thumb:

I have a one piece ractive muffler, and it sounds bad ass. But I took off the resonator and replaced the stock pipe with 2 1/2" pipe. I have heard the same muffler sound like rice too though, so I'd up the pipe size if you use one like this.

i have an arospeed muffler on the stock pipe on my car and it sounds amazing. i get compliments on it all the time. no rice, just a real nice deep sound. people actually think my car is fast when i go buy:dsm:

magnaflow race series. its a canister style with a 4" outlet straight cut. all i've done is take out my cat. is a low agressive sound, and increaes in pitch as u get inot the high rpms. i like it. i may put aup a sound clip :) if i have time.

i have to agree with Mr. Talon and 97eclipseRS....my buddy has the magnaflow race series and it sounds great. i on the other hand have an arospeed.... they sound about the same....only i had the piping redone from the cat back with 2 1/2 inch pipe...
good and low toned....no weedwacker action.

dynomax magnaflow 2 1/2" of course the turbo eliminates some of the harshness and gives it a deeper sound. in hindsight i would have rather bought a different muffler (different outlet area at least) and redone my exhaust piping. it looks a little funny from down low when you see the dual tips are off set from the canister.

My previous Talon has had a Summit Racing muffler on it for the past five years or so and still going. $19.99 for 3". V8 guys compliment it. There is simply no other muffler that is as good for the price. Dynomax Superturbo is quieter, but costs three times as much. Word up, Homey Slice.

I personally dont like my magnaflow. Its deep till about 3k then it gets raspy as hell. Lol i dunno maybe its just the car but personally I'd rather have Apexi...knew i shoulda bought that....o yea neone wanna buy my magnaflow;)

3A Racing muffler, just about all straight through mufflers (Ractive, Off-Brand, Magnaflow) is going to sound the same on the stock piping.

My brother with a 90eclipse GST has magnaflow, and has only had problems with it. If you want a good muffler thats not much $$, Bomz is the way to go. At least I've heard many good things about Bomz.

what kind of problems does he have?? i mean, and not to point fingers, its hard to believe that any problems he's having aren't due to installation error or something of that sort.

LOL he does suk, major problems with his car, but its a turbo so I can't really say he'z slow. But I can keep up with him cuz his trany is going out haha. His Exhuast is magnaflow Street Proformance series. I think thats why it sux.. The jack ass at the muffler shop ordered the street proformance instead of race series. But the sound of the magnaflow is an aquired sound to me. Its not deep in the lower rpm ranges, but i guess its what you like. Personaly I like to go down the road with a deep sound so all the ladies can hear me commin ;)

ive got some ebay muffler (5zigen fireball style)...and actually am really satisfied with the sound. its pretty deep and doesnt sound like a total fart-can...paid like $60 shipped and its great...plus it looks good :)

Hehe. I dont have a muffler:p . But I would really like a nice one. Not a fart can style. But a oval kind like mavisky has:thumb:

i was runnin a apexi dunk before i got my n1, it wasnt bad, sounded pretty good, but was fookin huge!

I have the same one... ebay fireball style 60 shipped. I have different mid pipes (not sure if that makes a diff), but with it, sounds nice and deep, only when you floor it does it sound a bit ricey. Also, w/ Intake it makes it sound alot better.

i am running a Ractive Tuneable Muffler I personally love the ound not too ricey IMOP and or to loud cruising, when you open her up she lets it flow nice and then she is loud kinda what i was looking for. Paid like $120 for it

I got the ebay special...it's a dual, slant tip design. Something like $99. Sounds pretty throaty, espcially with the test pipe and intake. Main reason I got it though was because it kept somewhat of the "stock" appearence...I'm not a big fan of the big ol 5" tip coffee can style.

I have a GReddy SP catback (60mm variety, got it second hand from a GS-T friend of mine who needed something bigger OMG ). It's not ricey or farty thank god, it's just loud as hell.

No leaks, but good god it's loud.
