i got a 94 talon es:cry: .. im thinkin about gettin another loan to get a turbo.. but i have no clue of which turbo is good.. what parts i need.. or the price ill have to pay for all of it.. if anyone has already done this or knows the details please help me out, i cant handle being this slow.

The best, easiest thing you can do is trade in your car and use the loan to upgrade to a turbo DSM, especially if you have no clue of what you need and how much it's going to cost.

yah i already thought about that, my cars in really good shape and has low kms, so i kinda wanna stick with what i got, i know i gotta do stuff with the ecu, compression of the pistons and stuff like that, but i dont know the full details.

Here's a link to a thread that explains all about it. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5986 I'm planning to do the exact same thing after I finish working a few quirks out and get the body looking good.

Many people do, and have done it. Many have had good luck, many have grenaded engines, often by incinerating a piston or two. And many have done the same with factory turbo engines, so a lot of it is in the hands of the operator.
I don't recommend putting a turbo on an n/t, but I'm from the other side.

From what I have read, as long as you put in some stronger pistons and rings it's quite possible to run a good turbo setup on a previously n/a engine. The only major difference that might result in a less than reliable setup is the lack of oil squirters in the n/a engine. However, it seems that most folks that blow a piston/ring do so because they're running on the stock n/t pistons. I may do that myself for a short period of time till I get the money for new pistons and rings. Plus get the time to pull the engine and do the work. ;)

sweet thanx alot.. i just got in from changin my plugs and its made a little bit of a difference.. so anyone know how much this sex change will cost.. im thinkin probly over 5 g's canadian?

bigcheeba, nice to know ur from MB too...im thinking the same way either to swap turbo engine or trade it with a 2g turbo...rite now my engine has 172km, also the bad thing mine is auto...one of the last thing i wanna do is get 92 tsi cams shafts to see if it would really make a big difference in high rpms..man i wish mine would run low 15's without spending too much$$$ like NOS or turbo kits.

find a wrecked turbo car and get all the parts off of it....that will be the cheapest way!!! then you could sell the block if it's in decent shape....and maybe other parts as well....search around and see what you can find...i've been thinking about it myself....soooooo tempting!
