I just bought this 1992 Plymouth Laser RS it doesnt have a turbo or awd. But I was wondering what are some free and simple mods that i could do to this car, if any.

Take off your Cat..and put a tire tool through it a few times. Gut it out. Pull the Silencer out of your air intake..the round metal thing..with the cardboard starfish lookin thingy in it. Also..hack your aircan. Cut some holes in it.

either take out or cut ur power steering an a/c belts sure it might b a little hot or a little hard to turn but its worth it

Yea, and then remove the hood, fenders, stereo, speakers, passenger seat, back seat and all other items that aren't completely necessary. It'll lighten you up quite a bit :D

Who would actually want to go through all that trouble of cutting the power steering and the a/c? I say just do some simple mods. Liter rotors, 2 1/4" exhaust, free flocat, air intake, and port and polish. You'll atleast be up to about 130 hps once you do all that.

I'm just saying I don't think it's worth it..and that's my opinion, he might think that's a great idea. Don't get cocky...Sherlock.

i have my ac and power steering systems taken off and it makes a decent difference. I also think that after getting used to it the steering becomes more responsive and a better drive, you have more control when racing or going fast.

I thought that the 4G63 NT came from the factory with 135HP? Doing everything you just described I would think you would be up to about 180HP?! Am I that off?

Those free mods BluePlymouth mentioned will give you maybe 130 WHEEL HP...the 4g63 NT comes stock with about 115 WHP (135 at the crank)...a 15 WHP increase will be quite noticeable, that will allow you to eat lightly modded Hondas no prob if you can drive half decently...

removing the accessory belt is simple, llosen one bolt maybe two and remove belt, dont cut, you might want to put it back on.
