IMO, it depends on if your state has emissions testing. If you do, and don't want to have to wory about putting your catalytic converter back on each time, I would say go with a hi-flow cat. But if your state doesn't, or you have a way around it, I would say go with the test pipe. I've had one on my car for about a year now and have no complaints. My exhaust is louder, the engine light has stayed off, and my car definetly feels less restrictive.
