I was recently looking around for a cat-back for my car, and they cost little bit more than I wanna pay right now, so I was thinkin if I got a muffler I like for it and run 2.5 piping threw it I would come out the same as buying a high dallar name brand one, but the problem is I don't want something that is going to sound like a bumblebee, I want one that you can hear but yet is still quiet, help! I was think along the line of a Apexi-N1?
What did the car that was on the fast and the furious have on it?

i know a guy with an apexi dunk on a gs, very very nice, huge yet very low pitched, wel you step on it it still sounds good too

i did the same thing i bought a 5 zigen fireball exhaust and then ran 2.5" pipe sounds good.

i just got my apex N1 muffler(90 mm tip) put on the other night. it sounds great! its a very deep sound and is loudest around 3000 RPM but still not annoying and doesnt sound anything like a bumble bee fart. im also thinking about just getting a custom 2.5" cat-back made at the same exaust shop, it would cost way less than aftermarket cat-backs and have basically the same gains. Just make sure the shop can mandrel bend your pipe(s).

well I have the 2.5" mandrel bent piping off of a pacesetter exhaust and a OBX B5 Bomb muffler and it is deeper than any exhaust that I have heard for our cars, including the Apex'i Dunk and N1. Its cheap and effective, you will feel a difference with this on.

i agree with 1tuffrs as what i said before, all these people think they have to spend all that money to get a brand name catback, when you piece one together its just as easy and better, and alot cheaper usually $500 cheaper.

I have an Apex-i Dunk on mine with stock piping and it sounds pretty good. I was wanting to get the muffler shop to bend me a cat back but they all said it could not be done and that the stock pipingis as big as I could go. I had 3 places tell me this and to top it all off no one could put the thing on either, they said it was too big. So check around at the muffler shops and see what they can do before you buy one.

I have a true 3" cat-back exhaust--ATR

I also have an apexi dunk muffler, i love it.. i always get comments on "how big my muffler is" it is like a 5 and a quarter inch tip i think.. anyways.. i love the sound! I took the resonator off and it made it a little more high pitched but still sounds d@mn good!
