exaust piping

i am about to get 2.5 inch cat back, but wouldnt i in fact loose power with that big of piping, wouldnt i be better off with like 2.25?

Get 2 3/8" if they have it. If not, get 2.25".

i'm in the same boat right now..... all the turbo guys say i will lose power if i go with 2.5 inch piping but they say 2.25 is fine....will it make that big of a difference going a quarter inch bigger? i know the cross sectional area is much larger(since the equation is PIE*R^2=area).
i also plan on running no cat which is probably the biggest provider of backpressure right now anyways.......so i'm thinking of running 2.25 inch from the header back (i have a pacesetter header) with a magnaflow exhaust(an oval one with daul 3.5 inch tips)should look awesome....and hopefully sound awesome.
o ya i'll be running one glasspack....the biggest one that will fit to get rid of any raspiness.

i have an apex n-1 cat back that is 2.5 piping. You can feel a bit more power from a 2.5. I plan on going turbo one day *sigh one day* so I will need at LEAST 2.5.

so i mise well jsut keep it stock right now since if i go 2.5 it wouldnt do anything except loose power.
