i have a few questions

for pacesetter cat back exhaust...do i have to buy the headers and exhaust? or can i just buy the highflow cat/exhast piping and put my current muffler on it? also, how easy are cams to put on, and what kind would fit on the 1.8? also i heard that 2.0 nt lose lots of power with big exhaust pipes at low rpms, how about the 1.8? and what pulleys can i mess with to gain power, and how hard are they to mess with? thanks..gonna try to make my 1.8 faster...w/o investing in turbo

ok,
you can't get headers for a 1.8L unless you get them fabed from a local muffler shop which cost you major bucks. another thing is they don't make cams for the 1.8L, but you can get them grinded or whatever. do you mean ajustable cam gear? if thats what you mean they don't make those for our cars eathier but i've heard that you can use one of the 2.0's, but i'm not for sure on that. you can get an i flow cut but i think it is just a waste of money, so i just cut mine off and put a strait pipe in.
i would recomend to get a light weight underdrive pulley since your trying to get power it can give you 8-10hp. but if you do want to get one act fast because there not going to sell them anymore. hope this will help!!!:thumb:

Where can i get pulleys for my 1.8?? what site and what kind are the best to get? and do they make forged pistons, connecting rods and better bearings for the 1.8?? i havent really looked up any of that, www.horsepowerfreaks.com has everything i could possibly ever ask for for my car, but i am not sure if it is for the 2.0 or both... thanks

how hard is it to put on the ur underdrive pulley, i understand that its hard to find the right length belt when i put on this pulley. has anyone done it here, how hard was it, and what do i have to do <just a rough sketch, i can figure rest out with service manual and brother>
thanks

theres the site for the light weight underdrive pulley. this is the only place you can get them and there going to stop making them soon.

for the forged internels and stuff, i don't know where to get that stuff because i've never looked. but you would only need that if you where go to turbo the 1.8.

the only thing i saw at horsepower freaks that they make for our car was a intake thats all i saw for the 1.8 most of the other stuff was made for the 2.0 and 2.0T.

if you where going to go turbo tell me i'm sure i can find somone to help you out.

jake or anyone,
i just put mine on saturday, it really wasn't that dificult. just take off the power steering pump belt then take off the alternator belt. then the guard the protects the engine ( thats the hardest) after you do that just take off the 2 pulleys on the crankshaft. then you line up all the holes for the pulley, now the first set of srews that you took off the first pulley those are the ones you put the light weight pulley on with.

ok this will help you out with getting the right belt. i got the numbers off the box thingy that my belt came with.
theres two sets of numbers
350K4
5040350DR
also tell them that it is a v-ribbed belt
try to go to advanced auto parts becuase thats where i got mine and the numbers might be diferent. if you have one that is. hope this helps.:thumb:
