okay this is my 3rd 420a engine i have... im tired of it
right now i need a transmission

right now i have $4000 to spend

should i just go for the swap? to 4g63... and no i will not sell my gs and get a gs-t or gs-x.....

my mechanic is my uncle... and he knows whats hes doin... but can some 1 give me the stuff of what parts i need...

motor, turbo, tranny, computer, wire harness, motor mounts, downpipe to connect to cat, re mount motor mounts to diff places

i know i can stay with my 420a shift linkages,

my questions are..... do i need the 4g63 cross member thing that goes on the bottem to support the engine or can i use the 420a one? and what about fuel lines, power steering and a\c and alternator ... what should i do about these thing will there be enough room to extend the pipes

thanks alot guys i really appreciate the help, but please dont tell me not to do it.. because i already am and i already dropped my motor and trans off my eclipse all i have right now is the 420a wire harness and computer laying around

now what else do i need?

if it's your 3rd 420a motor why didn't you just build up the other one or 2nd one and slap on a turbo kit? then you'd already be a 4g63 level. then upgrade your fuel system and you'll happy as ####. so what's the problem here?

Your best bet would probably be to grab a whole front clip off of a GS-T (2g) including the whole dash. Then you'd have to find someone that would weld the frame back together and you technically would have a 4g63 in your car... minus the problems of swapping the engine.

swappin the engine is no problem

im not gonna change the dash... but umm imy prob gonna run into problemsl ike wire harness..

oh god not another "4g63 into a 2g nt".

physically getting the motor in the chassis is child's play, getting it to work right is a total pain in the ass. and no you won't be able to keep your nt shift cables since they'll be for the wrong transmission and the wrong side of the car.

look to be honest i want you to take a digital camera, drop your car off at your uncle's shop and have him photograph how hard this is to do so that once and for all we can finally show people that this isn't the best way to go about turboing your car.

pm me when you get the pics up and i'll make a new thread for them. until then this thread is closed.
