I have 99' Eclipse RS. I have a pretty much stock sys except a few bult-ons (2.5 cat-back and intake). I was lookin for a way to boost my hp w/out spendin 3 grand on a turbo-kit. I came across the VENOM 400 Control Module. I just had a few questions about it. (1) What are the pros and cons about computer tuning? (2) Do I need to modify my engine to use it? (3) Is it worth the money? Thanks for the whatever you can tell me about it.

-Thanks, Joe

Here's a link that kind of tells you what the VENOM 400 is/does...

Complete waste of money. From what I've heard, the Venom 400 does absolutley nothing, which is why you'll find that basically no one here uses it. IMO, best bang for the buck other than a turbo kit would have to be nitrous.

Can i run nitrous through a stock engine? What kinda mods do I have to install to use it?

Thanx

Suposedly, the n/t engine can handle up to a 75 shot on stock internals. You said you already have an intake and exhaust, which will enhance the performance of nitrous. It wouldn't hurt to do a fuel pump re-wire, or even a bigger pump....but not necessary, especially on a 50 shot. Check out the nitrous forum on here though, there's some very experienced people in the subject.
