Anyone not like that 0.3 sec lag in the pedal press and the actual acceleration? Most cars you push the pedal and the thing goes immediatly. Any mods out there that I can fix this with? or am I just stupid.

Can't say that I have. Wanna help me out with that?

what you do is go buy yourself a k&n air filter.. than depending on if you are driving a 1st gen or 2nd gen dsm you just take off the aircan and cut the #@%#@%#@%#@% out of it.. put holes in it to take away the restricted air flow.. in the first gen's take off the snorkel.. there is the whole process with pictures on www.vfaq.com under the intakes section.. i did this and you really notice the difference in 3rd gear.

I did the car sounds better but I didn't notice any more power. I still think it was worth the $25 for the filter it isn't a K&N but a another brand

Adjust the throttle cable. There is a way on every car to adjust the throttle cable to me taught when at idle. If there is slack in the throttle cable adjustment, then when you depress the gas pedal, the first range of motion is to take up the slack. Then the throttle plate is open. This is a very simple thing that most people overlook and should be classified in a group of things to check as Mod #0 (also includes plugs, plug wires, intake leaks, exhaust leaks, etc).
