10.5:1 pistons

I have to see if there is enough interest to initiate the production.

They are wiseco pistons and they would be plated to match your bore size. You would only need to hone out the lip at the top of the cylinder.

No .020 overs or anything like that.

I have a friend at a local high preformance shop that is a distributor for wiseco. He said they would have them made and sell them if I could show him some interest.

I hope to get them in for less than $350 a set.

I don't know all the specs on the plateing but it is called apticoat 2000. (I think)
the place to look would be their website

http://www.maxpower-engines.com/

they specialize in aluminum engines and pistons. I have seen what these coated pistons can do for preformance and longevity so I was instantly interested in DSM application.

The guy to talk to about all the particulars of the plateing is

Will Bredeson
608-224-2524

I'll try to answer your questions but he is the authority, so don't quote me on the particulars of plateing.

here is the link to the piston coating data

http://www.maxpower-engines.com/xtreme.htm

He told me that the coating (if you opt to use it. I would) is $25 for the skirt and $25 for the dome. each piston. The pistons themselves are the parts that would have to be made. But they can be run without coating. The coating just improves the preformance and longevity of the aluminum piston against the steel cylinder. (reduce that damn blow by)

how much are we talkin? will they be 3 thou over or what? waht kind of pistons..... more info please!

.003 over sounds good. since they have to be made we can spec out anything we would want. .003 sounds like it would work well for a stock replacement and allow for honeing.

If you want Max Power would be able to plate the piston to allow for a tighter fit, according to your spec.
