98 RS 1/4 mile time

Can anyone tell me what a 98 RS 5 speed will average bone stock in the 1/4. My buddy has one and constantly complains that it is a total pig when accelerating. I know these things need some back pressure so is what exhaust size would be good and with or without the cat?

not sure of the time but it wont be any new land speed record that's forsure. NT's are sluggish off the line and start going at around 3k rpm...that's with mods...without.....race minivans but just make sure it isnt a turbo ;-)

As for the exhaust, don't go any bigger than 2.5 unless you plan to turbo

They ususally run mid 16's stock with those crappy tires. 2.5" press bent works alright for n/t's.
