Tanabe exhaust???

Hi,

I was just wondering if anybody on this forum with a 2g eclipse gs or rs has a tanabe super or hyper racing medallion cat-back could tell me how you like it,what size is the piping,how much you paid for it,is it loud,did it improve performance,and last but not least do you have a sound clip of it on an 2g eclipse N/T?

i have the super racing medallion. i love it. real deep and loud. not good if you have cops that are strict w/ that b/c they WILL hassle you. you can really feel its gains. as far as the size, i wanna say 2.5", someone correct me if im wrong. real mean looking when on the car too. hope that helps ya. btw, where in ny u live?

I have the racing medailon it is very loud and deep it is a 3 inch pipe the only reason why I got this one is because everyone else has the N-1 and the bigger pipe is good for turbo but will not help you if you don't have turbo on your car. It will only hurt your preformance because the pipe is to big for a n/t.

i didnt notice it hurting my performance, i only noticed an increase in it.

A friend of mine has the tanabe racing exhaust (the more expensive one they make) on his civic. it seemed to hurt his performance. but its louder then hell and looks fast if thats any help to you. I'm no expert but I recommend Greddy or HKS.

I just orderd the Tanabe super medallion hyper. And the guy at my speed shop told me that it would be great for performance and is not that loud, because I told him I wanted a quiet one. So after reading a lot I think everybody says its really loud. So my question is do they make a silencer for it or only for the racing spec?

I just put mine on and i love it. its really not loud at all. on the spec sheet is says its is under 95decimals but thats a lie its louder but i love the sound and I am very impressed with the craftsmenship of the exhaust.

I personally have the Greddy Evo || but i know someone who has the tanabe and it sounds SO awsome! Im not sure if it performs better because I beat him everytime when we race but im really jealous about how much better it sounds. really low rumble. love it! BUt my Greddy is SUPER quiet (well... for aftermarket) so if you want the low rumble,,,, go for it! keep us posted on how you like it.!

But to bring this thread back with a purpose, anyone have pics of this exhaust installed on their cars? Curious as what it looks like.
