i was wondering if any one has done this and if they had any problems with the throttle plate being stuck open, thanks

Which part of the throttle body are you planning on boring, I did my Mikuni 62mm on myself. You need a new butterfly, you need to be good with a grinder and sander and a welder(sometimes) Are you talking about just thinning down the butterfly and bar that holds the butterfly ( don't know proper name?
PM me cause I can never find these darn threads again.
Chris.

60mm throttle body will flow more than enough air for a n/t. sink your money into something that will give you a good upgrade.

what are your mods so far. id at least have a full exhaust system, intake, k&n spark plug wires and other bolt on stuff before worring about the throttle body.

the only way youll need a bigger throttle body is a crazy head build up with like 2mm oversized valves in it, or a real high compression ratio

i have exhaust, intake, ngk plugs and wires, and a NX 50 shot, i plan on getting a new intake maifold so the throttle body would help out alot

it wont help that much. on a turbo app maybe but your not flowing that much air here.

go with cams and a little head work. that will help out more than those mods. on the 1g n/t 60mm throttle body and a stock intake mani wil lflow enough for about 225hp on a n/t. getting more than that, yea youll need em but i dont think you need them as much as cams.

the cams will give you a better jump in power and its cheaper than both those mods:thumb:

I put turbo cams in my n/t and it gained 35 hp on the dyno its almost like a turbo 181@6300 not bad for a n/t

Hey got a question for you guys i have been searching for a while now on defects with the throttle body boring process and i have only found one flaw, and that is if you bore to much you will bore into a airstream dam and have to fill it and drill it back out. I have bored out a couple tb's but like to take all precautions as to not totally screw them up beyond repair. Do you guys have any other thoughts on the situation or suggestions that may be helpful on a good bore diameter without goin to far on a 1997 talon with the 420a thanks
