So, I previously had the 95-96 style fuel rail, where the schrader valve was on top of the body of the rail. Now I bought a 97-99 fuel rail where the schrader valve is at the end of the rail. I had to cut it off to weld my -6an bungs. My question is should I buy and install a new schrader valve or can I just bleed the rail by cracking one of the fittings instead?

I don't know if it works on an N/T but you could disconnect power to the fuel pump and start the car. That will relieve any pressure in the line.

This if you are trying to relieve the fuel line of pressure. If you are talking about bleeding trapped air at the end of the fuel rail I have never found this to be necessary.

More than anything I have always used it to relieve air out of the system. Is there another way to do this? Or will it eventually get rid of its self?
