what happens if i take my heat shield off the header. might i get a gain in horse plus a ugly looking header? im going to get a greddy 4-2-1 in a few months.

If you take off your heat shield you will lose power because of the heat gained in the Engine department. You will find your air not near as cold [not that we do get cold air, but your's will be scorching] because of the fans pushing the hot air all over in the engine bay. Leave it on until it has to be taken off, that will keep your air normally cold, and that is what we want.

well i got a aem cai that i just put in yesterday so hopefully it will be a lot cooler. i cant wait to get the headers.

get a little better flowing header and just get the heat shield chromed, this will keep the engine cooler and still look good.
