I just got my v2 in.. and it does fit an automatic!!!!! i dont know why they print that shit about it only fitting manual.... there losing money..

well as soon as i got it today.. i pulled off my old aem cai, then threw it to the side.. and slapped on the v2.. damn its beautiful.. it fits the exact same as the original aem cai..... and the power is true.. u feel it throughout.. aem didnt lie.. its hot!!!

a non t must!!!:dsm:

man im excited..... LOL..

anyone has any questions im here.. or just pm me..

i got my v2 from lightning motorsports.. shipping was pretty quick considering im in germany..... like two weeks or so..  :dsm:

as long as you're happy about it. How much did you pay total with shipping? then divide that by-my guess- 7-8hp gain and what does the ratio come out too? Post a pic if you can

so you didnt have to do any mods at all to make it fit. i was just about to order a regular aem cai but if i dont then i will just order the v2 like i wanted to in the first place

Since you live in Germany how much does a new BMW 318i cost? American import taxes are absolutely terrible, and almost any German besides the VW is EXTREMELY high priced, ty.

ok well to the injen compared to this.. sorry but injen doesnt come close...

and u shouldnt buy a aem cai v1, get v2 ull love it

it came out to 270 with shipping

and if u wanna buy a bmw 318 prob will be about 20000 or less if u are in the army.. cause we get a 16 percent discount.. if not in the army ud prob pay 25-30000...

not same gains trust me.. u can see your rpms lower in the high 70 mph.. im now doing like 2500 rpm.. before i was over 3000 easy..

so the v2 changes your gear ratio's huh:confused: i think not. you probably just didn't pay close attention before. it may give you more power in lower rpm range, but it's not going to change your gear ratio.

Read the whole article about AEMs shady business. They were upset that the V2 lost so badly, and took the Civic and tested it themselves and somehow got better results. Then a third dyno was done with both parties and the V2 failed again.

I'm happy with my AEM CAI Ver. 1. I think the V2 is just a marketing publicity to sell more cause it looks cooler.

Now that I read more and more about V2s I have concluded

-For 100-150 dollars more you may get a tad bit more power, and by tad I mean next to nothing

-It looks better, big deal, it only comes chrome I think

-It's just to make more money, like Valentine's Day for Halmark

stick wit the regular cai...it works exactly the same as the v2,,ur paying 100 or so more jsut for the new look of it thats it...my freind with the civic si..got his v2..and took off his regular cai..he said he feels the same gain as the regular cai..so not realli worth the cent..

no intake will change you gear ratio's. unless you do the final drive mod or have custom gears made, your rpm to speed will still be the same as if you were stock. yes the intake will help you get to a higher rpm faster, but it will not change your gear ratios, only help you get through them faster. and being an auto, those are some long gears.
