If you dont know what your doing you could mess up your car pretty bad the best manual for our car is a Chiton you could find the book at a auto zone it will run about 20 bucks. I call it the bible because it will tell you everything about your car. I would not do the timing belt by my self but if you know what your doing go ahead but read the book first .

I was going to do the belt myself but I havent ever done it before either I've replaced timing chains on V8's but they are simple but on an over-head cam 4 cylinder? I dunno where to begin so I opened my chilton book and couldnt find enough info on it to trust myself doing it, plus it looked like alot of work so do what I did bring it to a dealer it cost like $200 to have them do it and it took them like 4hrs. to do it. If you try it it might take a weekend to figure it out and your work is'nt backed by a warranty like a good dealership is.

no, the best manual is the shop manual. Look online at 2gnt.com, there is a guy there who has done a complete write up. You will also need some special tools, like a 3 jaw puller, and it would be helpful to have a lot of patience on hand.
