Headers!
My friend told me about certain Header finishes, that after a while some kind will start to chip. Is that the Ceramic Coated kind? Or another kind?

I think its the painted kind. I dont think ceramic coated would crack. also the only ones i heard this being a problem with is the pacesetters.

Do you mean the Pacesetter Armor Coated ones will chip and crack or just the regular ones?

Just wrap the headers, thats the best bet to keep underhood temperatures down. You can buy the wrap from summit racing.

sorry to bring up an old thread but my manifold is cracked and i can't fork out 400+ for a header.... i don't care about power really either and pacesetter is cheap, are you talking about the paint cracking? ### i dont give a damn about paint cracking, or are you saying that the header is cracking? ### if im going to have a cracked header in 6 months i might as well save up the 400+ in the next 6 months right?

Check out OBX headers. Mine worked. Didn't get it coated, and the headers turned colors after a while, but still. Mine came with some extra connection for a sensor on the downpipe (included with the headers) Never figured out wtf it was for, so I had it welded shut.
www.ssautochrome.com $300 somethin for the both Header+Downpipe. Makes the car sound a lot deeper.

Before you do anything look into buying the PaceSetters, which I have a set for sale now actually. Then ship them to JetHot and have them coated for $100.00 or so. Then you won't have to deal with chipping, fading, turning colors, etc. and you'll only have $200.00 plus shipping in the whole deal!
Think about it...
BTW: JetHot Homepage

Does anyone know how much it is to get the header port & polished. How much would it cost and where can I get it done.
