Ok this is my problem I had 310 injectors with the resistor pack and it ran good for like a month. know it started idle searching. In any gear when coming to a stop I am about 1500 or close to 1 and i push on the clutch and put it on neutral it goes all the way down close to almost turning off. I know i should put it on neutral before coming down to 2 gran. also once in a while it does turn off.

so this is what i did:

I took off the 310 and put the stock injectors on.
re gaped the sparks from 32 to 40 and also changed the spark wires and it still does the same thing :banghead:

any ideas???
 
ok well i checked out the TPS and these where the readings

1 and 3 = 5.7
2 and 3= 4.72
it says on the chilton book that the TPS should read around 3.5-6.5 so I think its good.

I cleaned the IAC with carb cleaner and replaced the throttle Gasket.

took it for a spin and it still did the same idle searching?

I have no codes for anything else besides the EGR ### of the BLOCK OFFS so any ideas? will the o2 sensor make my car idle search? when i unplug the o2 sensor when the car is on the idle does not change. but im thinking it might not be it because when my o2 sensors give out i get a code. but i might be wrong. any other things i should check??????????
 
both I unplugged my o2 sensor and ran it for about 20 miles and I got a code so im thinking its not the o2 sensor. i checked the coil pack and its reading 11.50 and 11.66 so any ideas?
 
if you have an extra TPS and IAC laying around I would throw those on there and see how that works. Also make sure the throttle plate is closing all the way.
 
the throttle and everything checks out so any other things i should check?
 
have u tried the vacuum lines or carb cleaner just to see if u have any air leaks,unplug all ## vacuum lines one at a time and if the car idles fine than id replace that line and see if it fixes it ? if that doesnt work than idk

I did a vacuum leak test and I had no leaks

Several posts ago you mentioned that your wideband was reading 14.9 to 15.0 which is slightly lean. What's it reading while the IAC is oscillating? What's your idle fuel pressure for the stock injectors? What color are your plugs?

Problem fixed it was my VSS that was making me idle surge. I replaced it and wallah. the thing is i never got a code for the VSS. I never thought if your vss was messed up or unplug it would mess with your car but its cool know thanks
 
Never knew you were driving without a speedo.:p My RPM’s use to do that all the time due to the damaged gear in the trans. That’s one of the reasons I moved to ms was due to not having a VSS signal and sudden idle drops to 200!! when coming to a stop sign, but it never searched. Interesting, thanks for updating.
