alright guys i have a new idea for my car now. I am going to make myself some exaust. If i go and get some pipe could i get like the flex pipe **** from pep boys and weld together some of it so the it makes it back to my new muffler or do i need to get some heavier ****. And another question i have is my downpipe comes out to stock 2 1/4 where it bolts up to my cat. Im taking my cat off and **** so can i put an adapter on and then run 2.5 or 3 the rest of the way back or will that **** up. will having just plain old straight pipe on a n/t add power or slow me down. thanks for any help guys, later.

all i know is 3" on a n/t will cause you to lose power if anything. youl have no backpressure left therefore no torque. and torque is good. right. so i wouldnt' go over 2.5 or sumthin like tat unless you get turbo.feel free to correct me if im wrong.

I would not go over a 2.5" because as stated before you will loose alot of lowend torque. Without the torque there your car will feel alto slower. I would think the best would be either 2.5 unless you are going to go turbo.

you can get exhaust piping from pep boys but its going to be pressbent. if you want no restriction i would get it done by a exhaust shop.
