has anyone with a 95-99 rs or gs swapped their engine with one out of a gst or gsx? is this even possible. ive heard its not worth it at all.

Yup you answered your own guestion it's not worth it. By the time you put all that stuff you need in you could sell you non turbo and by a used GSX and still have money left over to mod. Why spent all that money putting the turbo engine into the non turbo car just for stock power. Just turbo the 420A.

It's not really worth turboing the NT's either. With the stock internals of the NT engine, you won't be able to get more than 8 or 9 PSI of boost out of it without damaging the engine. You have to spend alot more money on lowering the compression of the engine with new pistons, valves, etc. to get any kind of real power out of it. If you really want a turbo, like 90Turbo said, the best thing to do is sell your car and buy a used turbo model. Better yet, find a turbo all wheel drive like the Eclipse GSX.

Yes its true that you can only boost to 8 psi on stock internals, but we also have a rather high compression ratio compared to stock turbo vehicles. With the addition of the tti headgasket Murix was safely boosting 12psi before he decided to rebuild. At 8 psi however you should be making around 230hp @ the wheels. If you do decide to rebuild however w/ the addition of larger injectors, a MSD, and a S-AFC you will be able to boost 15psi daily, that puts you over 300whp and when going to the track you can run 20psi on race gas. It all works out to be the same though depending on your goals.
