It sits right in front of the power steering pump and AC compressor, I'm almost done putting it back together and this is holding me up. The end of the hose is in my hand were the X is. Thanks in advance.

Is that just a hose or does it have a connector attached. Sorry, can't see too well by the pic.

It connects to a hard line that goes over the valve cover, then to an evap test port, and then to the vacuum port on the rear of the intake manifold. If you need pics, let me know.

EDIT: This is for the rs, right?

. It would be great if you had a pic of what it goes to. Thanks
I'll try to help out on this one, Keith. Unfortunately, my daily is a 99 and we don't have that line. But I do use that hardline for wire management in the race car, so here's a pic of the end of the hard line;

Its the one right next to the coolant overflow hose. As Keith said, that hardline piece goes up and over the valve cover, where it attaches to another hose.

Maybe that helps?

Edit: Crap, photobucket turned the pic. Well you should get the idea.

Yea i see it, my car never had that hose going over the valve cover, and i have always had a CEL for EVAP leak small and EVAP leak large, could that hose being disconnected cause that and can i drive without it connected. Also if anyone has a pic of what it connects to on the intake manifold that would be great.

THANKS

The first pic is the hose connecting to the metal tube. Second pic is the metal tube going over the valve cover. Third pic is the evap test port. This is connected to one side of the 3port vacuum on the rear of the intake manifold. The test port can be replaced with straight vacuum hose, its nothing more than a tee that is capped off, used for testing purposes.

If you plug the vacuum port on the rear of the intake manifold, you can drive with the evap system disconnected, but not without a cel.
