heyy everyone i got my self a problem i searched on this forum and online and have come up completely dry. whenever i accelerate i hear a cluncking noise i looked behind my intake manifold and that motor mount is noooo goood so i dont know what to call it or how to find a new one the haynes manual calls it a role stopper or something but no one has a clue what in talking about any help would be great thanks.:banghead:

Yeah. it sounds like the rear roll stop. You have a rear roll stop (basically under the intake)and a front roll stop (the mount by the radiator - attatched to the side of the tranny). They stop the engine from "rolling" front to back in the engine bay (from the torque of the engine). Most of these dealership/autoparts places will call it the rear motor mount.

Too bad you don't come down this way, I probably got one but I'm too damn lazy to ship :coy:

yes you could do that, the one i got was only a insert though doesn't replace it like the pass, and driver side main motor mounts.

see, its just inserts into the grooves of the pre existing rubber mount if its shot it might not work as well

i have since got the prothane solid mounts and wow is there a difference i mean you can tell your power goes to the ground wheel hop was alot better then again it all depends on the tires as well ask fotowntalon LOL:thumb: anyways i would highly recommend them not that difficult to install you just need a reciprocating saw a drill maybe a torch the new ones fit right in any other questions you can PM Me.

oooo yeah also there is a noticeable difference in vibration nothing crazy though

Yeah thanks gudz, wheels do make a huge difference. From stockers to performance all the way to drag radials. If you are trying to eliminate wheel hop check your tires you are using as well as springs, and motor mounts, and bars all help. While i have never used the ebay motor mounts (might want to link, ebay isnt a brand and an "eBay" motor mount could be tons of different things) i have used the polyurethane ones and WOW at the difference. Both in vibration and reducing wheel hop. Some people go polyurethane all around others side polyurethane and solid fronts & backs, either way cant go to wrong, I'd imagine that solid fronts & backs would give you even more power to the ground, but also at the cost of more vibration. Search around I am sure there are tons of threads on this.
