Sorry, I would have posted this in the handling tech section but I'm not allowed to yet :(

Just a quick question- which spring is for the front and which is the rear? I bought this Eibach kit used and don't want to make a really pointless error!

Here are the 2 different springs, side by side.

Here is the stock front spring/strut.

Another quick question about the bottom photo. Should the rest of the assembly just slide off of the strut? Because I can't get the dust boot off or anything else pictured...I tried breaking it loose with a hammer and a vice grip with no success. Thanks for any input!

Your lowering your car right?

Just take off one strut from the front and one from the rear. Or take them all off(keep track which is which). Take out springs and compare. One has a bigger opening than the other. The Eibach springs are going to be the same shape only shorter. Since your going to replace all the springs anyway, your not doing any extra work.

The front springs will be shorter and have a larger diameter, the rear will be a little taller than the fronts.

Judging by the top picture you posted looks like the one on the left is for the front and the one on the right is for the rear.

somewhere on the spring there should be a part number ####F or ####R the F or R is for front or rear.
