my piston rings are about to get changed and i was wondering if i bought je pistons could i get away with 12 psi without causing any damage? can our stock rods handle that? thanks for any help

stock rods are the weak point not the pistons.... with good tuning 250tq seems to be there ultimate breaking point. Save up the few hundred more $$ and get rods to. You will be glad you did.

ok thanks. but what about the crank, ive heard it can handle that but i just wana make sure.

pistons are the weak point due to poor tuning, detonation, With good tuning rods will go first... And psi doesnt mean anything, diffrent turbo put out diffrent hp and tq #'s at diffrent psi. IT all has an affect.

Fast Track Auto Services has a deal for $800 right now with pistons, rods, bearings, and a couple of other things. You might wanna check them out if your planning on getting pistons and such now, plus it's a great freakin deal...
