2G-specific head gaskets

ok i have a 95 eclipse rs that needs a new head gasket, i figured while im doing all the work i should just buy a gasket kit for the 420a. does any one have any suggestions for some good reliable kits? im not boosting and also am not planning on machining the head, any feed back would be highly appreciated just trying to get my car back as a functional daily driver before i do any modding.

any one no how much it is to machine the head?

anyone who told you that cometic weren't good for dsm is a MO. cometic is good for any car. Look at CI Motorsports or Howell Automotive they carry what you need.

If your not boosting just go with the stock oragnic hg. It's cheap and you won't have to machine your head (within reason). Just use 1000 grit sand paper and get your surfaces as smooth as possible

Bruce has what you need and there is no reason for a cometic. But definitely have the head checked.

Question

There is a set on ebay that contains a complete head gasket set and it sells for like 60 bucks. I know that coming from ebay it's probably junk but maybe somebody here knows otherwise.

And sorry if I sound like a broken record: I've had 3 felpro headgaskets fail on me in the last 2 years on 2 different cars. When I switched to cometic, I had no more problems. That's the only reason that I reccomend them.

Bruce gets a lot of orders, and gets them out quick. I can only imagine he has a large stock.

However he does it, he has good stuff in stock, fast shipping, and awesome prices.

Partsdinosaur is an awesome place. I bought a few things from him last year for my rebuild (mostly timing parts) and from what I remember, he had the best prices and very fast shipping. I have never heard a bad review about him nor the parts he carries.

Again, Locke, thanks for the info and Tegster1 too. I'll have to check them out for my winter build.

Indeed, there really isnt much need to look elsewhere in your situation. Partsdinosaur is very reputable in the 420a community.

As if Bruce needed any more support, he often sells parts and kits on eBay too.
