[RESOLVED] quick cam question- switching out his intake cam with another exhaust cam

my friend who has a 240sx with a KA told me about switching out his intake cam with another exhaust cam so there would be 2 exhaust cams. He said this would give him more power.

I searched already and all I found was something about teh turbo cams so that doesnt hel p much

pretty much what im asking is, could we do the same thing, 2 exhaust or 2 intake cams to get alil more power.

and yes I know some of you are going to say......why not get just crowers or cranes or w/e......for 1 cause im broke and 2 im not sure on what cams I should get if any : /

Rubbish. You're fooling with finely tuned lobes. Beides, when you start playing with cam timing, you can kill a valvetrain quick if you don't do your homework. And yer buddy with that 240 is going to a completely different school than us. If you want real, usable, and (keyword) reliable HP, backyard tuning won't get you there. Save yer pennies and invest. You'll thank yourself when you do. There's something about stomping mustangs that makes it that much sweeter when you do it right. I know it sucks to hear, cause I'm all about going fast for cheap. But our car is like an expensive date. If you dont spend the money on her, you're not going home with her at the end of the night.

Intake and exhaust cam's aren't interchangeable on the 420a. Won't even fit.
