Well I'm finally starting to get all the pieces I need in order to get my talon up and running for summer.

I just ordered the Howell 2.2 stroker bottom end last week. They say it should be 8 weeks for me to get it. Hopefully its no more then that.

I am also getting my head rebuilt soon, nothing special, just freshening it up with new seals and such. I will be getting cams for it though and springs and retainers but I'm not sure which cams yet.

I also have in the works a plug and play megasquirt with 3 bar map sensor, 2 step, aux output, and dual timing map support which is going to be custom built for me so hopefully I get that soon.

I have other odds and ends like a front mount. new piping, getting rid of the a/c, slim line fans, a 97-98 talon front bumper waiting to be done also. I'm just waiting for it to warm up a little more before I start ripping everything apart.

I still have to get a 1:1 fpr and injectors and other crap I think of along the way.

I just made this thread so people can track the progress of things and so I can get help with whatever questions I might have. Any and all comments and advice is appreciated. Obviously I will start getting pics once things get rolling and products are in my possession.
 
Yeah if you think it will only take 6 weeks you need to research on 2gnt and hear the shipping horroe storries. They seem to do it right so it's probably worth it but don't be thinking this buid will be done any time soon waiting for that built engine. Good luck though and how you getting a PnP style Megasquirt?
 
I really hope it doesn't take that long. They told me 8 weeks on the phone. They also told me I can call back for progress reports on it so I will be doing that one of these days coming up.

The megasquirt is being custom made for me.
 
Whos doing the megasquirt for you? I can t decide to go that rout ,a portfueler or build my own 8 injector set up. THe rest sounds good though

And back from the body shop as of yesterday...Had engine bay repainted along with all strut tower rust cut out and patched and some holes welded shut that I no longer need.

Yeah megasquirt worked fine as a piggy back. I threw the factory harness away and am going to make my own harness now. Still have the s16g I got with the hahn kit years ago but it was way too small when I had the car running last year. Might throw something bigger on and make a tubular manifold for it. I never had the car on a track or a dyno, just drove it on nice days and weekends.
 
Little by little, it all starts coming together.

Had to modify an aluminum radiator to fit.
