I was given a 1996 Avenger with a 2.0 liter 4 cyl. Oil pump failed and engine is being rebuilt. Exhaust side of head is toward the radiator. Which Crane cam set, 180-0010 or 431-0010 are to be used in this engine? Does any other cam match the specs for Crane?
I found 431-0010 in the Mitsi section of Cranes catalog.

The 431-0010 are for your engine. The 180-0010 are for the Neons.

The Crower 2's are close 241/241 duration and max gross lift .388" / .357"

Thanks for the reply. Are the 431-0010 cams direct replacement? Or do I have to change springs and retainers? Ralph

They are bolt on. I ran the Crower 2's on stock springs repeatedly to 8k and up. No float. No signs of float in my dyno's either. But you may want to use at least 1 adjustable cam gear to get all you can out of the cam. But the adjustment will require dyno time.
