I need two intake valves. Its either pull a 176k mile head from u pull it and use that for 36... or keep my head which seems to be fine except two bent valves for less. I just finaly got the head off... I've been lazy. And I only have two bent valves, all the others are closed. So I think I'm just going to take a wire brush and scrub the piston heads and the inside of the head to get it all clean... there is soo much grime! Its nasty!all that engine gunk buildup they show on synthetic oil commercials... yeah! That bad!

So I'll probably spray down the head with carb cleaner, pull all the valves as soon as I can get the tool, and clean them all up

So where is the best place I can get two intake valves for cheap... I also need the caps of the valve springs that holds the valves in and the little round things that clamp onto the valve... cause I used a hammer and a socket to pop the two intake valves out... and I lost the clamps.

Any parts store should have all the parts you need.

Spring retainers are the caps, and the thing that retains the valve itself are the valve locks.

For $50 at my local junkyard you get 8 intake valves, 8 exhaust valves, a set of cams, cam gears, lifters, rockers, and they throw in the the head for free. Actually if you bring a compressor you can walk out of there with everything you need in your pocket and nobody would be the wiser. They'd be a dick to charge you for them as well.

LOL yeah I know... And at my local u pull it... I can get all of that for 35 bucks. But I'd rather just replace the two valves. And I know local parts stores will have what I need. But one place wants 7 bucks a pop, the next 6... So I wanna know where someone has bought valves for a damn good price. Before I have Autozone order me two new valves.

I already have my race setup on order for the valves, springs, retainers, locks, cams, cam gears and guides. But when I got the springs, they came with the retainers and the locks... And I'm not going to part out my race head to put some parts on my stock head. ya know?
