hey guys , i have a 96 eclipse RS that i have owned for 5 years now and 2 years ago at 150k i decided it was time for a complete restoration ( basically replace anything and everything that was worn out , ran coil overs on the car :notgood: so most of the suspension is new now )....and instead of doing what most everyone else would do, i decided to stay NA and rebuild the motor w/ high comp pistons with intent of runnign nitrious after i get the car back on the road....

so my question is, would an safc-II be enough or should i consider a MS( mega squirt)?

Not looking for rediculous power obviously but i would like to be around 300hp to the wheels . Any other advice would be appreciated as well! ....thanks !:dsm:

Bullet has all the answers man, and if you can beat him to 300whp NA please tell me how..(however you are using nitrous so I could see you getting close)

IF 300whp is your goal, then MS is the only answer. SAFC isn't going to give you the kind of fuel control you need, and probably won't control the size injectors your going to have to run to get your car into that power range.

I would say it would advance timing as well on the stock ecu, but it don't think it works the same on a nitrous application car. You don't have to block the stock map sensor I don't think.

SAFC will be very little help (maybe a couple of ponies to the wheels). The stock ECU will dog you forever. You should go Mega.........eh, nevermind, everyone else already answered :p
