Will these studs work for exhaust?

Which of these studs will work on the exhaust side of a 420A? Both are from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was looking at ARP studs, but don't have any plans of seeing more than 8psi so I think that may be overkill.

Why not just get some 4G63 studs as an alternative to the ARPs? I believe Slowboy sells them, as well as SS Studs (both supporting vendors of DSMTuners).

I didn't know that they were the same. If they will work I will look into a set of them.

Thanks

Slowboy racing is definently worth looking at... I ordered items from 7 different sites and slowboy had some of the best prices and i got my item a week earlier than all my other items. Plus like Paul said... they are one of only a handful of DSM oriented vendors.

I took this from Slowboy's site:
Order a 6 bolt kit if your head has all the same sized studs. 6 Bolts commonly fall between the years of 1990-1992.

Order the 7 bolt kit if your exhaust manifold studs on the outer edges are LARGER than stock. 7 Bolts commonly fall between the years of 1993-1999.

I guess this begs the question: are the 420A exhaust manifold bolts larger on the outside? ill need someone else to answer this as i havnt taken my exhaust bolts out for fear of snapping one. (theyve been soaking in PB blaster for a few days).

They shouldn't snap. At least mine never did. Most are bolts that screw into the head. I soaked mine when I did my turbo install for overnight (only sprayed twice on each bolt) and by the next day they were fine. That was both on my eclipse and talon.

I thought that somebody would have chimed in with the answer by now. I'm still looking for a definitive answer, but haven't had time to call any vendors.

Perhaps rather than waiting for someone to give you all the answers, you should do the research yourself and call some of the vendors.

Besides, I've already told you, I'd just get 4G63 studs. They're only slightly more expensive than the McMaster studs you listed, and they're application specific. While you're at it, get some of the recommended nuts too.

That is correct and I appreciate the advice and plan to buy the studs from Slowboy. All I was wanting to know is if I needed the 6 bolt or 7 bolt kit. I emailed Slowboy a few days ago with no response. I work 2 jobs & can't call out during the day so I really can't call them right now that is why I'm either waiting on an email reply from them or someone here to chime in with the correct answer.
