St.Albert,
I am in the middle of my engine rebuild and was thinking about the timing. I have adjustable cam gears and the car was dynoed and i had the timing advanced 5 deg on both the intake and the exhaust. And was wondering if i should leave the timing where it has already been set. Or if since i have gone turbo and have a stroker kit, i should return the timing to 0 deg until i have it running and can do the tunning from there.
Keep in mind that the cams are not being changed so the timing has been set for them already....

Zero out both gears. Then go to a dyno and try advancing just the intake.

Why would you just advance them both like that?

I didn't adjust the gears the guys at the dyno shop did. I don't know if they tried to do 1 cam at a time or if they just lossened the bolts and turned the cam gear until both were at 5 deg adv... So my best bet is to zero the gears and reinstall the cams to the factory spec.
They were trying to get a decient idle outta my engine, i had a pretty choppy idle and was a little rough after the cams were installed. So back to square one, And when i have the engine together and am setting the MSnS i should try to tune the gears 1 at a time and you just avdvance it slightly and check if there are any gains and tune from their, should i be tuneing for the lowest map possiable or is that just for setting idle and should be tuning off the wideband 02 instead.?
