Ok, so I know that you can swap the front brake assembly from a 2g GSX. My question is can you swap a 1g GSX brake assembly too? I've used the search function but there is no real information on this. My reasoning is that I can swap with one of my friend's 2g tsi awd for $140, but my other friend who has a 1g gsx said that I could have the whole setup for free. I would much rather take the free swap if they had the same setup. I know it is the gsx that came with the six bolt, so it would have to be earlier than a 1993. Thanks all!!! :thumb:

I don't think they'll work, but if you can get them for free, snag the fronts and see if they bolt up. You can unbolt your calipers without disconnecting the lines easily enough. Go for it. You have nothing to lose. Then you can post back up a definitive answer for others.

That is very true DR. I guess I will just do the 2g swap first then try the 1g later on when I have time to go to the car and remove the brakes. Oh, BTW are you going to make it to the Shootout this year? I'm driving just not sure if I am going to trailer my car or drive it instead. ;)

I go to the Shootout every year. I've had reservations since August 31st of last year for the 2007 SO. :rocks:
