Well yesterday i got a custom cat back for my 1990 Laser (1.8). 2.5 with a flowmaster. Impressed with the sound i cruise down to orchard supply and buy some ABS piping to make an intake. I make it in about 10 min and spray several coats of high temp paint on it. The next day i put it on and hack the airbox. Lemme tell you for a 1.8 this setup kicks ass. It is soooo deep. My friend told me it almost sounds like his old 95 bmw 328i with exhaust. It is really deep and i am really proud of the intake i made. it REALLY stays cold. all u need is about 13 bucks (not including K&N). If your gonna do this make sure u spray the high temp paint on the ABS pipe on the INSIDE and out. If u need help making this go ahead and send me a message. i will be glad to help fellow DSMers

nice job dude :thumb: i love when people become creative, if you get a chance post some pics and let us all have a looksy :p

why would you spray the inside of the pipe? what if it peels later on and you start sucking it into your engine? maybe thet won't happen...
