i have a 91 eclipse gs n/t and i was wondering how much horsepower i can make it have and how??

LOL man, the possibilitys are endless...cams,camgears,pulleys,exhausts,intake,porting your manifolds, tb, plugs, wires, anything and everything you could think of, turbos can add around 40% power, im not so sure about nitrous' stats but like it or not they can add some quick and easy power if your willing to risk an engine :|

Eclipse man I wanted to know this same question a couple of months ago. If you are not home/super mechanic my answer would be this, Cold Air intake,Headers,Exhaust,Torque Converter if automatic,Venom 400 Control module.

If you are a home super mechanic, you add a lot of things yourself that would cost a bundle if you had a shop do it. Then the lists gets higher. Look up in the search here "90-94 Biggest Bang for the Buck" and you will see some more mods and horsepower figures. You will be suprised:D

hey I got a N/A but its got a bad tranny, Ikind of want to mod it a bit tobeat all the hick trucks around here ( wont take much it could porlly do it stock) but Idont know if I should sell(or use as beater) and get a turb or mod this one.........moneys tight

PERFORMANCE PISTONS
Arias Performance Pistons #ABJ483284A $499.95

how much Hp would this add if you had already done intake, exhaust, cam and porting?

its much less xpensive to just buy a turbo model of the same year, there is not much you can do with raising hp.but if you want speed lower the car my wife's car (similar to yours)is now up to 122mph and still pulling.use intrax springs (lowers it the most) kyb shocks hers also has suspension technics sway-bars.there is only about a 3inch gap between front air-dam and road, air flows better around it and easier.there is such a thing as road-horsepower some cars pick up as much as 50hp.her car is an automatic.

Those pistons will be good for 0HP, that is right. Zero. Unless you raise the compression ratio of the pistons, you will be getiing nothing. Getting those pistons will cause a lot more work. Probably $1000 when its all said and put in. Yet if you have big rods, you can put on a custom turbo kit of any kind and raise the boost above 30psi. Just do some research.
