I installed my stage 1 on my 99 eclipse rs. The install went great. No leaks no wiring problems. When i first started the car my idle was funny so I tried adjust the fpr without the fuel pressure gauge installed and that didn't work. So I found out soon after I should change my plugs because one of my spark plug boot was full of oil from a leaking gasket in the valve cover. I fixed that and bought new bosch +4's. That didn't help anything. Next I made sure my idle fuel pressure was ok and it was. I am running about 50psi at idle. As soon as the motor starts to warm up the car studders when I give it gas and loose all vacume the car shakes. I can not figure out what is wrong. Please help guys. Thanks Levi Schilz

First off, the bosch 4's have got to go, get some NGK's, what kind of wires do you have? Magnecor are great wires but NGK's are too. Hmm, so have you checked for vaccumm leaks, or made sure that none the vac hoses are connected wrong? Did the car have any problems before? What is the turbo's boost set at? Is this a brand new kit or did u buy it used?

hey guys thanks for you help! I actually spent like 300 bucks on stuff then today I went and got some ngk plugs and new larger wires. Started the car and it was like a miracle the difference. I could not believe spark plugs could do so much!

Yeah, the bosch platinums are really not the way to go with these cars. NGK seem to have the perfect spark/heat combination. I'd say the wires aren't really as important until higher end applications though but i'm glad things are working out for you :thumb:

This may seem to easy....but have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting the ecu reset? Disconnect for 5min or so.
