Ok I have been trying to find out what the noise is in Fast and Furious when the eclipse shifts. It sounds like it hits some kind of metal or something... Does anybody know?

Thanks for the info, does anyone know where to get one of those or is it a mod you have to do by yourself. I think it sounds really nice and would like to have it done to my dsm.

you don't want a shift gate it will only make it harder to shift and you'll miss a lot of shifts, they take a little to get used to.

Not the pssst sound I am talking the metal noise like ching or something like that when he hit each gear like it hits the shifter hits something. I think shift gate might be it but I searched everywhere and could not find one and why would it make it harder to shift I figured it was for shifting and cleaning up sloppy shifts?

gated shifters are hard to shift because any sloppiness and you'll be hitting the gate but not where you want to be hitting the gate, say back into first instead of into third, once you get used to it, a gated shifter would be pretty cool but if you just want to clean up your shifts get a short shifter instead

Ok I see what you are saying now, I just always wanted that sound when I shift...

the sound was hollywood generated, it wasnt' a shift gate, and the bov was hollywood generated as well...sorry folks, even though it sounded nice, i admit, it's fake...

Yes, it does sound cool... aluminum rubbing against aluminum *shhwink*.

LOL.. when i read that i actually made the little schhhwinkk noise out loud..:shhh: OMG

It shows it has nitrous on the webpage :p but I find it funny with how much money they do actually have put in performance and they are still running drum breaks on the back w/ slotted rotor COVERS over them.

Okay like you guys were saying... how do i make that noise

You don't, unless you construct your own shift assembly, which would have to stick into the air. See, the gears are space so closely together that you could not put a shift gate on it, it would look more like a metal plate with a hole in the middle and some notches around it.

That noise was not made by that Eclipse.

ok lookign at that site and the mods on the car he has all this extra shite but absolutoley no need for it,
